What happens when your digital strategy reveals more about your culture than your tech

What happens when your digital strategy reveals more about your culture than your tech

Ryan Taaffe and Sam Hemphill invite you to explore the impact of organisational culture on digital strategy. Through the case study of Perth’s Barking Gecko Theatre and Digital Strategists, Meeum, you’ll discover that the hurdles you face in digital transformation are often rooted in cultural challenges, not just technical glitches.

Ryan and Sam will discuss the critical importance of nurturing a culture that welcomes change, values learning, and encourages collaboration among all departments.

The key takeaway? For your digital strategy to truly succeed, it must be supported by a culture that’s both resilient and agile. By the end of this session, you’ll have practical tools to assess and refine your organisational culture, ensuring a solid foundation for your digital future.

Forget SEO, UX and Accessibility. Why empathy is the missing link in your digital practice

Forget SEO, UX and Accessibility. Why empathy is the missing link in your digital practice.

In a digital era dominated by SEO, UX, and accessibility, Sam Hemphill shares how empathy stands as the critical, yet often overlooked, cornerstone of effective digital practices.

Emphasising a user-centric approach, Sam shows how empathy enriches web design, content strategy, and digital interaction by fostering deeper connections, inclusivity, and accessibility.

By adopting an empathy-first approach, organisations can find themselves meeting their UX, SEO, and accessibility milestones without even trying.

Sam Hemphill is a leading advocate for digital skills and entrepreneurship, providing guidance to a wide array of organisations in leveraging technology and human-centred design to thrive.
